About Us
We made our first batch of soap in 1985 out of necessity. We were raising seven children in the Flint Hills of Kansas on a shoestring and a prayer. "Waste not, want not" was our mantra. It was practical to make soap after we butchered our holiday hog that year. After all, what was one to DO with all that lard?
After giving soap as gifts to our friends and family, we received requests for "more soap, and keep it coming." The next logical step was to start a home-based business. The rest is history. Since then we have added herbs, native plants, vegetable oils, and essential oils to develop twenty unique recipes. Our business continues to grow along with our love of all things natural and homemade.
